Job Description Summary

The Food Service Worker, under supervision, is responsible for preparing food and beverages to standardized recipes.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance of food service equipment.

• Prepares food and beverages using standardized recipes.

• Works in a 'team environment' to prepare and deliver food to clientele.

• Verifies delivered supplies for quantity and quality. Supervises food storage and maintains inventory control.

• Seeks client input regarding food quality and makes adjustments as needed.

• Manages special diet requests, testing and modifying recipes to meet client needs.

• Supervises and assigns duties to employees engaged in preparing, handling and serving food.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• No prior experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to operate custodial equipment.

• Ability to establish effective working relationships.

• Must be able to lift loads of 50-100 lbs.

• Ability to stand on feet for prolonged periods.

• Driver's License
