Description

Responsible for the Procurement, physical inventory, disbursement, and applying accurate charging out of all material parts and consumable items associated with the McDonough, GA shop. Shall complete and file a daily yard check in the necessary systems and forward to the Shop Manager.

Maintain established inventory levels of parts. with a less than 5% variance. Maintain less than a 2% financial write off quarterly. complete and provide reports monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Ensure all Parts are charged out on the appropriate work or repair orders. Or to the correct business unit.

Insure the parts room(s) is / are clean, serviceable and efficiently organized. Provide all parts and special order items to technicians and or business units.

Negotiate price(s) and order part(s) that are of highest quality while maintaining effective cost control measures .

Shall be responsible for all material handling equipment maintenance to include scheduling of service and repairs, consistent with established procedures.

Maintain accurate, complete, and up to date computer records for all material handling equipment.

Provide "fill-in" support as a qualified backup when required for various yard functions: trans loading, Shop/Operations support (i.e., running errands, special request, etc.). 

Work as a Member of the team in the shop. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Certified Forklift operator, general knowledge of inventory control, familiarity with truck and trail parts.
