About the Role:
Join our team in a juvenile facility as a Part-Time Cook's Helper! Support the Head Cook in preparing and serving meals for children, families, and staff while ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards. This is a hands-on role for team players who thrive in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

What You'll Do:

• Assist in food preparation, cooking, and serving meals.

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including utensils, equipment, and storage areas.

• Follow food safety and sanitation protocols.

• Help with meal planning for special diets or individual needs.

• Monitor kitchen inventory and report issues or equipment malfunctions.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred.

• Knowledge of food safety practices.

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Strong communication skills and comfort working with youth in a juvenile facility.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Food handling certification preferred.

• Experience in child care, juvenile, or institutional settings a plus.

Work Schedule & Conditions:

• Part-time, 6–8 hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

• Standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs required.
