Job Purpose

DP World is seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to join our Container Parks team in Botany, NSW. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate transport schedules, allocate resources, plan routes, and ensure the timely execution of deliveries while maintaining strict compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

You will also be responsible for the daily management of our truck fleet, coordinating FCL and MT movements in and around the Port and surrounding suburbs. This is a permanent full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday, starting at 12:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule export containers to ensure all deliveries are completed before cut-off times.
  • Book slots and coordinate import collections for timely drop-off at our Container Parks.
  • Schedule empty container slots in 1-Stop Modal for truck collection and MT deliveries.
  • Liaise with drivers daily to ensure tasks are carried out efficiently and accurately.
  • Collaborate with yard supervisors to maintain smooth operational flow.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates and advise on transport plans.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a transport or logistics-related role, with knowledge of import/export requirements and Port Botany operations.
  • Understanding of Chain of Responsibility and experience with transport operating systems such as 1-Stop and Wave.
  • Familiarity with Port Botany precinct, Sydney suburbs, and management of empty container parks.
  • Strong data-entry and administrative skills, including proficiency in Excel, with a willingness to learn new transport systems.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and attention to detail, with proven teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of ADouble/Super B routes and general freight planning within Port Botany.
