We are searching for the best talent for Manager, Instructional Design Strategy.

Purpose: The Instructional Designer role is for a highly-engaged, motivated and creative individual responsible for content curation for Johnson & Johnson MedTech. The responsibilities include supporting the development and delivery of new and existing content posted on Johnson & Johnson MedTech.  He/she will collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to develop video assets, e-Modules, promotional materials, and other Health Care Professional-facing educational assets that address learning needs aligned with Surgery’s business strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop learner-centric assets including e-Modules, personalized learning journey programs, videos, one-pagers, etc. leveraging best practices in adult learning principles (i.e. Bloom’s Taxonomy, Kirkpatrick Model) and instructional design (i.e. ADDIE, SAM).
  • Support digital education strategy to drive visibility and growth by designing interactive learning materials and identifying  effective ways to promote associated content via social media and internal channels.
  • Ensure all content created adheres to healthcare compliance regulations and legal requirements. Route content through copy approval system as required.
  • Support digital led efforts and special projects where required, adhering to pre-defined processes.
  • Create and edit videos based on learning objectives and quality standards.
  • Film or arrange filming for new content creation.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts in Professional Education, Commercial Education, and Marketing to ensure strategic learning imperatives are being met, supporting priorities.
  • Manage vendor partnerships to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years serving in a content development capacity; Medical Device experience preferred.
  • Experience with content development software (i.e. Articulate and Adobe Creative Cloud Apps) .
  • High technological and business aptitude.
  • Experience in sales consultant and interaction and marketing preferred.
  • Experience with adult learning and education is preferred.

Additional Education / Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate with team effectively to positively influence collaboration, drive results and achieve desired outcomes in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Experience with responsive design content editing using a content management system.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to execute with accuracy.  Able to support compliance and validation efforts.
  • Proficient with Word, PPT, Excel and learning new systems.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines 

Additional Information:

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is 100,000 to 172,500.
  • The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
  • Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
  • Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

    • Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
