 Job Summary

The Executive Housekeeper provides strategic and hands-on leadership for the entire housekeeping operation—including guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house spaces—ensuring an exceptional guest experience and a spotless, welcoming environment throughout the hotel. This role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency, while developing a motivated team that embraces Avion Hospitality’s core values of Trust, Transparency, and Results. This role drives operational excellence by managing budgets, inventory, and staffing, and by fostering collaboration across departments to consistently exceed service expectations.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Direct and supervise all housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure Avion standards are met in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate team members, providing coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals in line with Avion S.O.P.s.
  • Conduct daily staff meetings and weekly walkthroughs with the General Manager and Property Engineer to review standards and address needs.
  • Foster a culture of service excellence, engagement, and accountability.

Operational Excellence

  • Inspect guest rooms and public spaces daily, ensuring cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Maintain key control, “Lost & Found,” and safety procedures, including compliance with MSDS sheets and emergency protocols.
  • Prepare weekly employee schedules and wage progress reports based on forecasts and budget guidelines.
  • Monitor work orders, liaise with Engineering for timely maintenance, and verify completion.
  • Oversee valet laundry processes and ensure accurate tracking of guest items.

Financial & Administrative Management

  • Maintain budgeted pars of supplies and amenities; order and inventory items monthly/quarterly as required.
  • Process payroll, purchase orders, invoices, and checkbook accounting in compliance with Avion S.O.P.s.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly departmental inventories and biannual deep-cleaning projects.
  • Track and report on guest service scores, implementing improvements to enhance satisfaction.

Guest & Interdepartmental Collaboration

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, situations, or complaints, ensuring complete follow-through.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with all hotel departments to support seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Participate in required M.O.D. coverage and attend weekly staff and monthly all-employee meetings.

Requirements

 Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive housekeeping or related hotel experience; or
  • 2-year college degree and 3+ years of related experience; or
  • 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience.
  • Supervisory/management experience required.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and company-approved spreadsheets/word processing.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage financial data.
