Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Parts/Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions, supporting both the parts department and overall dealership operations.
Key Responsibilities
Scan, receive, and stock incoming orders.
Post and organize incoming parts.
Assist Parts Manager with weekly stock orders.
Notify appropriate parties when special order parts arrive.
Serve as back-up for Parts Manager in inventory functions.
Compile stock control reports to track consumption rates and market conditions.
Provide required information to the Warranty Department for timely claims filing.
Review files to identify unused items and recommend stock adjustments.
Ensure credits are received for returned parts and process returns promptly.
Return cores in a timely manner and confirm credit receipts.
Match purchase orders and invoices, approve, and forward to accounting.
File company copies of parts counter invoices.
Assist with annual parts inventory and returns.
Provide parts department telephone coverage as needed.
Support counter staff with payment processing when possible.
Perform weekly bin maintenance, load/unload bulk freight, and keep work areas clean.
Maintain a professional appearance and comply with company standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in cash handling and customer service.
Strong mathematical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred).
Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
At least 21 years of age.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
Use of hands to handle, control, or operate tools and equipment.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or chemicals.
Moderate noise level typical of a service environment.
