About the Role

 

The Production Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the facility, specifically as it relates to safety, quality, on-time delivery to customers, productivity, and cost controls.  The individual in this role will oversee the production and distribution functions of the Red Lion Annex manufacturing operations.  The ideal candidate will lead a highly engaged team, while collaborating with cross-functional departments to achieve company goals and KPIs. 

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Be a Safety leader and exemplify the goal of Zero Harm as a core value (Ensure safe work environment and adherence to Safety Standards).
  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure the production processes run smoothly and efficiently. 
  • Collaborate with quality, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and shipping to continuously improve workflow and operational outcomes.
  • Monitor production output, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions when necessary. 
  • Support data collection methods and participate in the analysis of data to reduce waste (materials, machine speed, downtime).
  • Utilize KPIs to drive continuous improvement efforts and maintain cost structures
  • Drive results for safety, quality, maintenance reliability, process improvement and cost.
  • Develop and implement SOPs for safety, processes and equipment.
  • Monitor all internal systems for accuracy and compliance with company rules, standards, expectations, and applicable laws
  • Leads significant manufacturing projects, plans and schedules facility assignments
  • Identifies opportunities that best utilize the location’s capabilities and meet customer requirements
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including assembly, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and planning.
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and on-time delivery of customer orders.
  • Utilize ERP and data systems to monitor workflow, report progress, and drive operational decision-making.
  • Works with the Project Managers (PM’s) and Manufacturing Engineers (ME’s) in evaluating requests for programs and new projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
  • Assist operators and train personnel as needed
  • Knowledge of techniques, tooling, and materials CNC programmer in a manufacturing environment
  • Supervise and mentor a team of manufacturing staff, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and performing to expectations. 
  • Implement performance management strategies and conductive performance reviews.
  • Foster a positive and safe work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ensure all employees follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.

 

Additional Expectations

 

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business Management; or equivalent manufacturing experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; 5 years of experience in a manufacturing management position or related experience
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies. 
  • Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.) applications and computer technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and managerial attributes, ability to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good understanding of National and Local regulatory requirements for plant operations.
