Are you a skilled writer with a passion for creating content in a regulated industry?

 

Principal Financial Group is hiring a Content Marketing Strategist to join our Retirement Income Solutions Marketing team!

 

In this role, you will support diverse content creation across print and digital platforms to effectively engage audiences.

  • Contribute to the business growth through storytelling, strategic content creation, and campaign activation aimed at showcasing distinct products, services, and capabilities to core audiences. Work marketing partners to suggest content ideas and implement extensive, coordinated marketing campaigns across diverse channels and platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners to ensure cohesive messaging and brand representation and innovative content.
  • Plan, develop, build, and publish engaging content that is aligned with central initiatives.
  • Write, edit, proofread, and offer constructive feedback to ensure consistent alignment with brand voice and style.
  • Translate complex concepts into content that results in clear, concise, reader-friendly, effective, and compelling marketing copy.
  • Cultivate an understanding and application of target market research, marketing content and competitive trends, market dynamics, and regulations. Share topics and trends with the broader marketing team and make recommendations on process, campaign, and content improvement.
  • Track and analyze the performance of published content and interpret the data to measure efficiency and draw actionable conclusions.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years of content marketing experience creating content for financial services and retirement plan B2B audiences (i.e., plan sponsors and advisors)
  • Must be skilled in storytelling and simplifying technical information
  • Collaborate on the execution and delivery of full-scale, campaigns for various channels and communication platforms
  • Ability to be nimble, work in a fast-paced environment, and balance multiple projects and priorities
  • Must be able to maintain positive relationships and negotiate
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, decision-making, communication, writing, editorial, and PowerPoint skills required
  • Must be diligent and possess excellent planning, delegation, and time management skills
  • Ability to translate data analytics into implications
Salary Range Information:Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.Salary Range:$81900 - $115000 / yearTime Off Program:Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.Pension Eligible:YesAdditional Information:
