The Cloud engineer will work with our engineering team to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. They will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud stacks, educating teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security of the cloud infrastructure.
A Cloud Engineer should be able to identify the optimal cloud-based solutions for our business needs and maintain cloud infrastructures in accordance with best practices and company security policies. A top-notch cloud engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and should be a team player.

Job Summary:
- Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
- Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
- Designing, developing, deploying and maintaining cloud-based systems in accordance with best practices.
- Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for solutions, including designing, planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance for modular cloud-based systems.
- Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
- Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
- Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements while managing cost.
- Interacting with clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs.
- Evaluating and migrating on-premise systems to the cloud
- Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
- Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity.
- Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies.
What You Need For This Position:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, and one year of experience in the field of cloud computing DevOps development and configuration using Github, NodeJS, Docker and EKS (Kubernetes) and Linux Windows Configuration.
- Experience with Github Actions
- Experience with Terraform.
- Troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Position is headquartered out of Evansville, IN, telecommuting allowed within the US.
