PRN/As-Needed Night Shift Respiratory Therapist – Inpatient
Status: PRN / As-Needed, Non-Exempt
Location: On-Site

Community Hospital is seeking a PRN/As-Needed Night Shift Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care to inpatient populations. This role supports our acute care teams during night hours, ensuring patients receive timely assessment, interventions, and ongoing respiratory support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care and treatments to inpatients, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, airway management, and mechanical ventilation support.

• Assess, monitor, and document patient respiratory status and response to therapy.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and respiratory crises.

• Maintain accurate records of treatments and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

• Provide patient and family education related to respiratory care as appropriate.

Qualifications – License, Education, and Experience Required:

• Current, unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT) in the state of practice.

• Current BLS certification required.

• Experience in inpatient or acute care settings preferred.

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work night shifts on an as-needed basis.

Compensation:

• Hiring range of $38.00 to $47.50 hourly, based on experience.
