Principal Project Manager, Professional Services chez Perforce

Position Summary:Matt Carson, Manager of the Professional Services Project Management team at Perforce, is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead the most complex, high-visibility client engagements across the Delphix platform and broader Perforce portfolio.This is a senior leadership role that goes beyond delivery execution - Principal PMs serve as trusted advisors to enterprise customers, executives, and internal leadership, shaping delivery strategies, driving cross-functional programs, and setting standards for excellence across the PMO.The ideal candidate combines deep project and program management expertise with technical fluency and executive presence, ensuring that Perforce solutions deliver measurable business outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the executive-level engagement lead for strategic, multi-workstream programs across global enterprise customers.

Drive program governance, risk management, and executive reporting, ensuring alignment between client business goals and delivery outcomes.

Partner with Sales, Services, and Product leadership to shape pre-sales strategies, scoping, and roadmaps for enterprise-wide initiatives.

Lead complex, multi-vendor and multi-technology engagements, managing dependencies across customer, partner, and Perforce teams.

Establish and continuously refine PMO standards, frameworks, and best practices, contributing to thought leadership in delivery excellence.

Act as a mentor and coach for Senior Project Managers, providing guidance on delivery strategy, stakeholder management, and professional development.

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide customer-driven insights that influence product strategy and roadmap.

Represent Delphix at executive business reviews with customers, ensuring long-term strategic relationships.

Contribute to the scaling and maturity of the global PM team, helping prepare the organization for its next phase of growth.

Requirements:

10+ years of experience managing enterprise software projects/programs, with a proven track record in strategic, customer-facing engagements.

Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex programs (multi-million-dollar budgets, global scale, or multi-year transformation initiatives).

Strong background in enterprise IT, data platforms, DevOps, or SaaS/cloud transformations.

Deep understanding of program governance frameworks (PMBOK, SAFe, or equivalent) and demonstrated success in implementing scalable delivery methodologies.

Exceptional executive communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders (CIO/CTO/VP).

Proficiency in project/program management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent).

PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or PMI-ACP certification strongly preferred.

Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid deployments required.

Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese a strong plus.

Willingness to travel globally (up to 25%).
