Position Overview 
 
ISG is seeking a dynamic Conference Content and Production Manager to lead the development, production, and delivery of high-impact conferences designed to educate and connect industry executives. The ideal candidate will bring experience in content research, cultivating relationships with influential industry leaders, crafting engaging agendas, and driving content strategies that generate excitement and elevate the profile of each program.
Responsibilities 
 
Under the direction of the Global Chief Events Operations Officer, this individual will be responsible for the development and management of programming/content, marketing, and logistical execution for approximately 6-8 annual conferences.
  • Research emerging topics, trends, and industry challenges to shape timely, relevant, and engaging agendas
  • Identify, recruit, and secure high-profile speakers and thought leaders, building strong relationships with industry executives
  • Drive innovation in content and programming, experiment with new formats, technologies, and approaches to keep ISG events market-leading
  • Collaborate with internal teams (including but not limited to: ISG content advisors, ISG Consulting, marketing, Sales and ISG Analysts) to ensure cohesive event delivery and messaging
  • Design a compelling content-based marketing campaign to promote the conference
  • Manage a budget: driving sponsorship and delegate revenue whilst actively managing costs with a view to optimizing margin
  • Oversee event production elements, ensuring all project deadlines are met – pre-event, on-site, and post-event (including run-of-show, speaker communications, post event surveys, etc.)
  • Work with the marketing department to ensure that they are targeting the right market with appropriate messaging 
  • Source appropriate partners, working with the event chairs, speakers, and sponsors to raise the profile of the event
  • Ensure flawless content delivery onsite, working closely with speakers, moderators, and AV/production partners
  • Monitor event performance and attendee feedback, using insights to refine future agendas and experiences
  • Create and participate in post-event evaluation and follow-up on identified improvement needs
  • Participate in weekly events meetings on program status, developments, and opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Required Skillsets

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
  • This is an in-office position, located in Stamford, CT, with flexibility
  • 5+ years’ experience in conference production, content development, or program management within a B2B, technology or professional services environment
  • Phenomenal interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management capabilities, with experience balancing multiple deadlines and stakeholders
  • Detail oriented and extremely organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, working under tight deadlines
  • Strong research and analytical skills, capable of identifying emerging trends that translate into relevant conference topics
  • Ability to engage in long and short-term planning
  • Willing and ready to take a hands-on approach and contribute across all aspects of the event
  • Commitment to the ISG’s values, mission, event goals, and program
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups
  • Experience leading committees/teams (internal and external)
  • Experience planning and executing first class events
  • Experience working and collaborating in a virtual office environment
  • Strong computer and technology skills with the ability to adopt various platforms
  • Regional and international travel will be required
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel
 
Education
  • College Degree preferred
