WHAT YOU’LL DO
The core duties of a Project Manager at BioVid currently involves:
- Manage and oversee all core HR operations, including payroll processing for USA and Canada, benefits administration, compliance monitoring, personnel file management, and HRIS maintenance. You will ensure accuracy, security, and efficiency while continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
- Lead the day-to-day recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, background checks, and offer preparation. You will collaborate with hiring managers and the Head of HR to build recruitment strategies that attract and retain top talent.
- Own and enhance the new hire onboarding experience, conducting orientations and ensuring smooth integration of new employees into the organization. You will work closely with department leads to refine and update onboarding practices for consistency and engagement.
- Act as a trusted HR resource to employees and managers, addressing HR-related inquiries, supporting employee relations matters, and promoting a positive, inclusive workplace culture that aligns with organizational values.
- Support the Head of HR on strategic initiatives, such as talent development programs, employee engagement projects, performance management cycles, and updates to HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices, ensuring all policies and procedures remain compliant and effective across applicable jurisdictions.
- Track, analyze, and report on HR metrics and trends, providing insights and recommendations to the Head of HR and leadership team to drive informed decisions and continuous improvement.
- Lead or contribute to special projects, such as employee wellness efforts, culture-building activities, and organizational change programs.
- Model and promote a culture of growth mindset, evolution, collaboration, , and excellence across all HR activities.
WHO YOU ARE
Who you are matters to us as much as what you do. A BioVidian playing the role of HR Manager has the following traits and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of progressive HR experience.
- Proven experience supporting and advising managers and employees across multiple levels and functions.
- Deep understanding of core HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, talent development, compliance, benefits, and onboarding/offboarding.
- Demonstrated ability to manage HR operations and programs with a high degree of organization, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Experience contributing to or leading culture, engagement, and DEI initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices; comfortable navigating compliance in a dynamic and multi-state/country environment.
- A proactive, people-first mindset—able to balance empathy with sound judgment and company goals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—clear, tactful, and approachable.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Paylocity) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environments with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
