Sr. Fuels Supply & Logistics Analyst
Location: La Plata, MD (Hybrid)
Salary: 96,800 - 121,000 + bonus opportunity up to 12.5%

Job Purpose and Function
The Sr. Supply and Logistics Analyst is responsible for leading all activities related to third-party fuel transport logistics, with a focus on optimizing supply, ensuring reliable fuel availability, and driving profitability in the procurement process.
How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Monitors and supports the availability of fuel products for sale at all motor fuel outlets.
  • Assists in identifying arbitrage opportunities to deliver incremental margin opportunities through use of different suppliers, terminals, loading times, and other opportunities that present themselves.
  • Works with unbranded spot suppliers to identify and procure daily deals that enhance profitability at sites that can take advantage of them.
  • Supports compliance monitoring with Branded and Unbranded Contracts, escalating issues as needed.
  • Coordinates with third-party transport carriers to help maintain adequate inventory levels at Wholesale and Retail facilities and support timely fulfillment of delivery requests.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with TWGI supply partners to support consistent supply of petroleum products and assists in managing supply outages and processes (ex. RVP blend-down).
  • Prepares and analyzes reports to capture common carrier accessorial and freight costs, including variances when alternate/back-up supply points are utilized.
  • Provides timely communication and updates to stakeholders regarding issues that may impact supply at either supply points or retail facilities.
  • Assists in reviewing carrier contracts and rate structures to ensure accuracy against agreed terms and supports the monitoring of costs related to base rates, surcharges, and fees.
  • Manages common carrier accounts receivable (AR) accounts effectively.
  • Handles administrative functions including the processing and tracking of runouts, incident claims, and miscellaneous billing issues that arise.
  • Promotes safety awareness and compliance among the carrier network through reporting and monitoring activities.
  • Contributes to the evaluation of alternate supply and distribution options by gathering data and preparing analyses to support supplier and hauler strategies.
  • Assists in the preparation of Supply Disruption Plans during events such as hurricanes, snowstorms, or other disruptions.
  • Provides analytical and operational support to the Pricing Manager, as needed.
What We’re Looking For

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; will consider a minimum of a high school diploma or GED/equivalent in addition to an equivalent combination of progressive, related experience.
  • 3–5 years of petroleum supply, logistics, or pricing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of index and rack-based pricing, spot purchasing, and cost build-ups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to respond to market conditions during evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
  • Project management experience.
  • Familiarity with market supply structures, logistics costs, and classes of trade.
  • Technology-oriented mindset to support IT systems and process improvements.
  • Understanding of company culture and customer service expectations.

Availability and Travel

  • This hybrid role complies with our company’s hybrid telework schedule. Our operating days and hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with in-office days being Tuesday through Thursday, reserving Monday and Friday as work-from-home.
  • Occasional evening or weekend responsibilities based on business needs.
  • Some travel, including overnight stays for training, conferences, or other events. Approved travel expenses reimbursed.
