Salary: Starting Salary is £46,142 (Level one), rising to £49,282 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

About the Role

The post holder will lead, manage, and develop the activities of a range of Domestic Waste and Street Cleaning services across Nottingham to ensure efficient and safe service delivery for residents. As a service leader, you will be expected to demonstrate our core theme behaviours of Leading People, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, Change and Innovation, and Collaboration. 

 

The post is classed as a hybrid worker; however, there is an expectation that the post holder will be in the office 4 days per week

The ideal candidate will have:

The ideal candidate will have:

•    Proven leadership and management experience in waste and cleansing services, with a strong focus on resource planning, budget control, and service quality.

•    Demonstrated ability to manage frontline operational teams, ensuring effective deployment of labour, materials and equipment to deliver best value.

•    Excellent customer service skills, with experience responding to enquiries and complaints from residents, colleagues, and elected members, and using feedback to inform service improvements.

•    Strong understanding of procurement and contract compliance, including Public Procurement Regulations and Council Contract Procedure Rules.

•    Effective people management capabilities, including recruitment, performance and attendance management, report writing, and handling disciplinary cases in line with council policies
