Position Duties
Key Responsibilities
As a Deputy Director of IT, you will:
- Serve as the principal deputy to the IT Director, providing both strategic and operational leadership.
- Oversee day-to-day operations across core IT functions: Help Desk, Network Operations, Virtual Infrastructure, Server Administration, Applications, and GIS.
- Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of IT projects that align with organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with County departments to assess needs and deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies, procedures, and cybersecurity compliance standards.
- Manage and mentor IT staff, fostering growth, accountability, and service excellence.
- Build and maintain strategic vendor and technology partner relationships.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive IT management experience.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have held it for at least 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT systems, ERP, CRM, virtual infrastructure, networking, cloud-based platforms, help desk operations, and GIS.
- Proven success in policy development, budgeting, and IT projects leadership.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
