DKW is currently looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to support our team. The individual hired for this position will provide support for our government customers located in New River, NC. This position is on site with very minimal telework.
Overview
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for:
- Installing and updating Operating Systems
- Software installation and administration
- Performing backup procedures
- Setting up a network to support modelling/simulation and emulating systems used on the bridge of US Navy ships
- Installing and configuring network switches
- Information Assurance competency
- IT skillset and Systems Administration background
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must have an active Secret Security Clearance or higher.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, computer information systems or mathematics. 8 years of related work experience may be substituted for education requirement.
- Five (5) years of engineering or network/computer systems administrator experience.
- 1 - 2 years of experience with building and configuring within ACAS
- 1 - 2 years of experience in the Information Assurance field.
- IAT Level I Certification or higher STRONGLY preferred -- or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to work with a team and collaborate with various government personnel.
