Position Summary:
The Chemist II is responsible for performing the quality control analyses of wastewater, used motor oil,
solid waste, waste antifreeze and refined oil and engine coolant product. This role ensures a clean and
safe work environmeny by completing the calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory
instruments.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Conducts wet chemistry analysis for effluent discharge water.
Completes the calibration and routine maintenance of the instruments under general
supervision.
Performs annual Proficiency Testing Study (PT) under general supervision.
Performs incoming sample profiling for the facility.
Analyzes finished oil products using various techniques.
Stays current with development in the field and incorporate new techniques and technologies
into work processes.


Other Functions:
Maintains a clean, safe work environment in the laboratory at all times.
Orders lab supplies and chemicals as needed to ensure a well-stocked laboratory.
Complies with safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
Completes special routine projects as assigned.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
