The Corrosion EIT/Coordinator should have a basic understanding of corrosion mechanisms and materials science. The role will require having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in an appropriate discipline. The role will require a split between office time and fieldwork. The office work consists of preparing for field work, compiling field data, as well as writing reports and technical memorandums. The field work will consist of performing assessments on pipelines and concrete structures associated with the water, wastewater, and transportation industries. Field work includes entering confined spaces, working near traffic, and working in wastewater structures. The Corrosion EIT will also be expected to frequently travel nationally for field work. This role will receive classroom and hands-on training to be able to perform fieldwork properly and in a safe manner.

- Conduct analyses to develop chemical or process related design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (examples include engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and project specifications).
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
- Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
- Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers / professionals on larger projects.
- Work with assistance from Project Engineers, Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate, have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, or will receive within the first year of employment
- An ability to work both independently on small projects and in a team setting on larger projects
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
