EDUCATIONAL PARAPROFESSIONAL
FAIRCREST MEMORIAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
7 hours per day
Reports to: Principal
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- must have a high school diploma (or equivalent); associates degree preferred
- must obtain an acceptable performance on qualification test (includes reading , math and computer skills)
- must be able to monitor student learning and behavior
- must be able to motivate special needs children
- must have ability to take directions and work collaboratively with staff members
- must exhibit patience and flexibility in all situations and demonstrate a strong work ethic
- must possess an optimistic attitude and good public relations skills
- must have a good record of punctuality and demonstrate building average attendance
- must have a sound belief that ALL children can and will learn and evidence of emotional maturity and stability necessary for the specialized work involved
- must support the district beliefs
- must perform other duties as assigned
- must have an acceptable background check and complete all required personnel records
DUTIES TO POSSIBLY INCLUDE (but not limited to):
- Work well with students who have challenging behaviors
- Must have strong communication skills
