The General Manager 1 is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and provides leadership and direction to the functional team(s) and site. The role ensures that Cook operates in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and develops/drives continual improvement efforts to meet Cook quality and business objectives..
Responsibilities:- Ensure operational compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements including, QSP, Quality Policy, ISO13485, GMP and company policy manual, and all state and federal regulations.
- Support audits, investigations, tours and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement measures to improve production methods
- Ensure product quality and delivery standards are met and that adequate resources are available for all operational activities.
- Ensure that training, support, direction and guidance are provided to all.
- Maintain metrics for productivity, quality, growth and ability to meet Cook objectives.
- Participate in Management Reviews to evaluate the suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the
- Ensure a suitable, adequate, and effective risk management program is established.
- Responsible for meeting/exceeding operations cost margin targets.
- Oversee enforcement of manufacturing procedures (GMP, CMA, safety, tooling and equipment, etc.).
- Implement policies, programs and directives of global functions/management.
- Ensure that the management team leads with an open, transparent and approachable leadership style.
- Ensure that the management team takes action on local issues while staying connected with global systems and initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, secure and supportive work
- Foster and maintain a workplace culture respectful and supportive of individual differences.
- Interact regularly with Division and Operations Liaisons to support global business direction.
- Ensure facilities are maintained to Cook
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and feedback both formally through the performance management process and informally through daily discussions and interactions, while recognizing employees for their contributions.
- Ensure that roles and responsibilities, performance expectations, and training requirements are developed and clearly documented and communicated to each
- Cultivate a safe, secure, and supportive environment where employees can thrive and morale is
- Responsible for performance and wage reviews for team members.
- Meet deadlines and ensure employees complete administrative tasks such as expenses, training, reporting, policy acknowledgements, submission of performance reviews, etc. in a timely manner.
- Maintain our culture, values and commitment to Ethics and Compliance by recognizing, demonstrating, and enforcing appropriate and compliant behavior.
- Understand and be accountable for conducting Cook business with integrity and in compliance with applicable standards including Cook policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, master’s preferred, minimum of 10 years in related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional leadership experience
- Sound administrative skills and well-developed management skills
- Strong experience with continuous improvement techniques
- Highly regulated industry experience preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) essential
- Strong knowledge and practice working in a team orientated, continuous improvement manufacturing environment with shift work.
Physical Requirements:

• Exposure to moderate noise and light levels within manufacturing facility
• Requires close visual acuity when working with computers, etc.
