About the role:

Strategic account sales and relationship development 

Are you a strategic, creative, and results-driven sales professional who thrives in the field and brings innovative thinking to every growth plan? We’re seeking a Catering and Events Sales Manager and/or sales reps focused on strategic accounts to drive or support strategic-to-tactical sales planning, business development and market expansion for our catering and events business across the corporate, community, and hospitality markets and beyond. This dynamic role blends strategic-to-tactical sales planning with sales fieldwork — building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and shaping and executing our Bay Area growth strategy. 

We’re looking for both a strategic and tactical sales planner and a sales pro, who can help us develop winning plan and become our results-driven business development leader who builds amazing relationships, uncovers and develops new markets, and generates high-impact growth opportunities. Hospitality or events experience is preferred, but not required. Hustle, creativity, and a relentless focus on growth are essential. 

The ideal candidate is thoughtful and proactive, developing and pursuing leads with focus, tact, and determination. They excel at relationship-building, strategic-to-tactical sales planning and execution, following through on commitments and taking full ownership of growth initiatives without constant oversight. Above all, they are passionate about expanding the company’s market presence, driving measurable business growth, and shaping the future of our catering and events business. 

What You'll Do 

  • Develop and execute sales and business development strategies and tactical plans to grow our on-site and off-site catering and events business. 
  • Conduct proactive outreach — in-person visits, networking, email campaigns, cold/warm calls, and content marketing — to expand market visibility. 
  • Build brand awareness, develop new business relationships, and proactively identify leads with corporate clients, hotels, venues, country clubs, event planners, catering companies and beyond. ● Maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients and key contacts to drive satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business. 
  • Hand off qualified leads to the Catering Operations team for follow-up while continuing to source new opportunities. 
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging markets to identify new growth opportunities. 
  • Track performance, report on sales activity, and collaborate with leadership and marketing teams.
  • Bring fresh ideas to identify untapped markets and help shape the company’s sales and growth strategy. 

What We’re Looking For 

  • 5-7+ years of experience in event/catering/hospitality sales, outside sales. Business development is a plus! 
  • Proven track record of developing strategic and tactical sales growth plans and achieving or exceeding sales goals. 
  • Selling to and supporting delivery of outrageous customer experience to E/As and event planners is ideal. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Strong time management, organization, and follow-through abilities. 
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and catering/event CRM systems (e.g., Tripleseat). 
  • Knowledge of and sales experience with Bay Area venues, corporate clients (high-tech, hotels, catering firms), and event landscape is a major plus. 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel. 
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to evolving client needs. 

The Details 

  • Full-Time: 40 hours per week, flexible schedule, Monday–Friday. 
  • Depending on skills, experience, and role (sales or sales management) base salary of $80,000–$110,000+ base salary, plus performance-based bonuses. 
  • Primary Work Location: Primarily in the field throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, and corporate headquarters in Campbell, CA 
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation required; mileage reimbursed per company policy 
  • Reports To: CEO
