Caldwell University invites applications for a full-time faculty opening in the School of Nursing and Health Services beginning in January 2026. The rank will be commensurate with degree and experience. The opening will be filled at the instructor or Assistant Professor level. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching undergraduate public health education courses and other courses across the curriculum as assigned, providing service, participating in committee work and faculty meetings, advising students, holding office hours as required, providing oversight for public health internships as required and making internship site visits as needed as well as engaging in scholarly activities, community service and college wide programs and activities.
To be considered for the Assistant Professor rank, the candidate must have a doctorate in Public Health or a related field. To be considered for the Instructor rank, the candidate must have a Masters’ degree in Public Health or related field. A doctorate in public health or a related field is preferred. Prior teaching experience in undergraduate public health education programs is also preferred.
We are interested in applicants with experience in all specialty areas particularly in public health education. Experience in online instruction and simulation teaching is desired. Candidates must be willing to support the Catholic Dominican mission of the University.
Applicants must submit a cover letter specifying position interest and qualifications, current curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, teaching evaluations (if available), research statement outlining research interests and plans, and three professional references with complete contact information, including at least one who can address teaching abilities.
