Provides direct support as required for HHC affiliates and acts as a representative on EOC/Safety Committees as an OH%26amp;S expert. Will manage general OH%26amp;S matters and assists in the development and implementation of OH%26amp;S training courses. Manages the delivery of ergonomic assessments and recommends work station improvements and upgrades. Acts as the Transportation Coordinator for the System Support Office and consults on DOT issues. Develops and writes policies and procedures. Provides back up support as needed for workers%26rsquo; compensation administration. Education

     Minimum: BS or BA from an accredited institution in related field

     Preferred: Masters level degree in related field

Experience

     Minimum:

o   At least 5-7 years of experience in occupational safety and health.

o   Strong LOTO, Respiratory Protection, formaldehyde, hearing conservation, ladders, blood born pathogen OSHA standards.

o   Strong Presentation and training skills

     Preferred: Experience in Worker’s Compensation

Licensure, Certification, Registration

     Preferred:

o   CSP (Certified Safety Professional)

o   ALCM (Associate in Loss Control Management)

Language Skills

     Must be able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

     Extensive Working Knowledge of OSHA Regulations and EH&S programs

     Able to effectively work with electronic data and claim management software

     Able to work closely with legal defense firms and testify on behalf of HHC

     Able to lead committees, teams, and focus groups to identify and accomplish objectives

     Flexibility to address emergent issues immediately
