Co-op, Digital Communications (8 months)

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting co-op opportunity in our Digital Marketing team within our Marketing Division. This is an eight-month co-op term residing at our Scarborough office and will follow a hybrid working policy.

Program Initiatives

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Coordinates vehicle photoshoots with photography vendors

  • Help team with testing and verification of, social media and other digital communications to ensure content accuracy and sound functionality

  • Research digital practices and provide suggestions regarding maintenance and enhancements of websites and other digital initiatives

  • Assist team with website enhancement projects through coordination with key vendors and stakeholders

  • Aid team on content development (i.e., creating briefs and coordinating with external vendors) for social media to increase consumer engagement and positive brand sentiment

  • Assist with user acceptance testing, proofing and monitoring of toyota.ca and lexus.ca websites

  • Attend and actively participate in agency meetings and/or weekly status calls to stay up to date on all advertising and promotional activity

  • Assist with tracking and evaluating performance of digital communications activities, developing appropriate recommendations and preparing reports to inform decision-making

  • Perform other tasks and projects as requested in digital communications activities

What You’ll Bring:

  • Enrolled in a relevant College or University co-op program (business, marketing)

  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing: websites, social media (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), search and electronic direct mail

  • Exceptional verbal, written, copy editing and proofreading techniques

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Take initiative and work both collaboratively and separately

  • Interest in digital marketing and knowledge of website, online and social trends

  • Excellent organizational and time management to meet timelines

  • Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and Word

  • Automotive industry and dealership operations knowledge is an asset

  • Strong background and/or knowledge of digital analytics is an asset

  • Fluency in French is an asset

  • Creative and innovative thinking is a bonus
