The Respiratory Therapist Opportunity:
The Respiratory Therapist performs the full scope of professional respiratory functions within the parameters of professional licensure and standards of practice in a skilled nursing facility.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The pay range for this role is $29.45 - $32.00, based on education and experience.
- We have 2 full-time roles open. One opening is 6:00am – 6:00pm and one opening is 6:00pm – 6:00am.
- This job is full-time and in person.

- As a full-time employee of NCHC, you would be eligible for the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is a hybrid defined benefit plan. It contains elements of both a 401(k) or defined contribution plan and a defined benefit plan. Participating staff contribute 6.95% and NCHC will match this at 100% each pay period!
What Qualifies You:
- Associate degree from an AMA approved school of respiratory care.
- Knowledge of pulmonary service standards and practices acquired through the completion of an accredited course.
- Registered RRT by the National Board of Respiratory Care, or registry eligible and obtained within one year of hire.
- Current BLS certification.
- Preferred one to three years working as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Person-centered service in all interactions.
What a Respiratory Therapist Does at NCHC:
- Contributes, participates, and supports the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) approach to providing quality care for residents.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Transcribes physician orders.
- Maintains regular and predictable on-site attendance.
