Role Summary
As the Director of Junior Clinics & Programs, you’ll lead the vision, strategy, and execution of all Junior Golf offerings—from clinics and school team programming to tournaments and merchandise. You’ll drive revenue, spearhead growth initiatives, and craft the blueprint for scalable success across both Five Iron locations and future franchises.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Strategy & Delivery
- Design, launch, and scale junior clinics and age-specific skill tracks (e.g., colors-based progression).
- Manage execution across all locations (target: 500 clinics/year), ensuring quality and consistent delivery.
- Standardize safety and regulatory protocols, coaching curriculum, and equipment kits.
- Revenue & Growth Performance
- Achieve junior membership revenue targets ($10K) and school team revenue goals ($25K), with at least 10 school partnerships.
- Launch junior apparel and swag line (target $50K/year).
- Pilot new revenue streams (e.g. camps, academies, fitting services) to build sustainable growth flywheels.
- External Relations & Partnerships
- Secure agreements with school athletic directors to position Five Iron as their go-to practice partner (target: 10 agreements).
- Collaborate with Events and Partnerships teams to integrate clinics with birthday parties, youth tournaments, and corporate activations.
- Support franchise development via turnkey junior program kits (curriculum, marketing, equipment).
- Team Development & Leadership
- Build and mentor a team of junior coaches—ensuring 100% compliance training completion and certification (TrackMan, safety, curriculum familiarization).
- Develop a tiered certification and career progression path for coaching staff.
- Strategic Operations & Performance
- Utilize CRM tools and dashboards to monitor KPIs (lead conversion, enrollment rates, retention, revenue).
- Contribute to franchise-ready playbooks for program delivery and school outreach.
- Uphold operational excellence: class setup/teardown playbooks, coach guides, and marketing assets.
What Success Looks Like (Fiscal Year: Oct 1, 2025 – May 31, 2026)
- Deliver profitable sessions with strong enrollment (10 children/session, net profit per session per location minimum $879, scaling to ~$131K net across 30 locations annually) based on the company map .
- Exceed funnel goals (500+ qualified leads, 15%+ conversion from inquiry to enrollment).
- Maintain 90%+ class fill and 20%+ units sold of junior club sets (via discounted offering).
- Establish efficient workflows, consistent coach training, and a reusable, franchise-ready blueprint for expansion.
Your Background & Qualifications
- 5+ years in youth sports programming or golf education leadership—golf-specific experience highly preferred.
- Proven track record in launching strategic programs and meeting aggressive targets in dynamic, growth-oriented organizations.
- Operational fluency with CRM systems, KPI dashboards, and curriculum deployment.
- Stellar communicator and partner—adept at building relationships internally and across schools, events, and teams.
- Deep passion for golf and youth development, with a strong orientation toward performance metrics and profitability.
- Bachelor’s in Sports Management, Business, Education, or related field. Master’s a plus.
