Reports to:

Reports to the President and Principal. Works in collaboration with the admin lead team.


Position Summary:

  • Provides dynamic, responsive, collaborative, and forward-thinking vision, leadership, and management of technology systems and services to support the mission and goals of the Incarnate Word High School. This includes planning, development, implementation, management, and maintenance of all applications, infrastructure, security, networks, and technology training, as well as comprehensive support for the teaching and learning activities of staff and students.
  • Serve as Blackbaud/FACTS Platform Manager for LMS (Learning Management System) and SIS (Student Information System).
  • Capable of developing and implementing creative initiatives to help students and faculty integrate digital tools and methodologies into their coursework and research.
  • Manages an equitable BYOD (bring your own device) Policy
  • Work with the STREAM coach and the faculty to implement the ISTE (International Society of Technology and Education) standards across the curriculum.
  • Maintains, updates, and acquires appropriate technology and equipment.
  • Provides reports backed by data to the lead admin team during meetings.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized. Excellent organization and prioritizing skills. High attention to detail, able to meet deadlines, and achieve goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high command of the English language to include grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Must be able to interact positively with a diverse community base.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities.
  • Excellent internal and external customer service. Self-motivated, resourceful, and creative with the ability to solve problems and an attitude for immediate conflict resolution. This person must be a self-starter who can work independently, be a supportive team member, and work at a fast pace.
  • Is a team player. Demonstrates organizational citizenship behavior. Builds trust, credibility, and respect both for individuals and for IWHS’ mission. Increases the self-respect and morale of the faculty/staff and members of IWHS. Leads with the intention of collaboration to create a good working atmosphere conducive to volunteering, completing tasks, and helping others achieve their goals.

Requirements

  

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s degree in Information Science, Technology, or related field.
  • Significant knowledge of multiple computer systems, including but not limited to FACTS, Blackbaud for Education, Google, and Microsoft
  • Must have at least 1 - 3 years of experience in computer science or information systems.

Work Environment:


Work is performed primarily in a standard school office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operating school computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting and event settings, such as walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions as necessary.
