Position Description:
Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Laboratory Maintenance Technician to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Repair and rebuild process laboratory equipment including but not limited to drying ovens, jaw crushers and fire assay furnaces. This includes preventative and predictive maintenance routes and area cleanup.
- Troubleshoot and repair of process laboratory instruments including but not limited to LECO, XRF, AAS, and ICP.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Four (4) years as a journeyman in industrial maintenance or two (2) years maintenance school (completed with certificate) preferred
- Understanding of lab equipment and instruments preferred
- Ability to operate Lab crushing and conveying systems preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot Lab equipment and instruments preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work from and understand operating manuals and drawings preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repair on all pumps, crushers, and conveyor systems preferred
- Exemplary safety and attendance records required
- Ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize a heavy workload required
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers in a team environment preferred
- Familiarity with chemicals and laboratory procedures preferred
