Part-Time Software Engineer (Missouri Only)

Due to a business need we are currently hiring candidates who reside in the state of Missouri

$22.10 / hour

Job Level: Individual Contributor

Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands.  Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. 

What You Will Be Doing:

Develop, test, maintain and document software to meet the needs of our business community. Work with other engineers, analysts, and business users to ensure applications meet required criteria for performance and results.

What We're Looking For:

• Student currently and actively working toward obtaining a degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related degree program. Prefer applicants within 18 months of graduation.
• Basic knowledge of object-oriented development and modern programming languages. Java preferred.
• Enthusiasm for software development and innovation.
• Aptitude, capability, and desire to learn new technologies.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
• Superior written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Responsible for accurate work and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills with business and technical partners and external stakeholders.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
