General Description

The Compliance Supervisor ensures the organization's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, with a focus on ISO and Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) requirements. This role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs, conducting audits, and providing training to mitigate risks and uphold ethical practices at all U.S. locations. Reports to the Compliance Manager.

Essential Job Functions

Compliance Responsibilities

  • Ensure organizational policies comply with ISO, RBA, BRD, and DPL standards.
  • Oversee documentation of job roles, work instructions, and training programs to meet compliance standards.
  • Ensure all relevant personnel complete required compliance training and maintain training records.
  • Manage the internal audit program to ensure compliance with ISO, R2, NAID and RBA standards.
  • ISO to include:
  • 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS),
  • 14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) ,
  • 45001 international standards for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS)
  • NAID
  • Standard for secure data destruction
  • i-SIGMA (International Secure Information Governance & Management Association)
  • R2
  • Responsible Recycling
  • Ensure that facilities handling used electronics do so in a way that protects the environment, human health, and data security. Here's a comprehensive overview:
  • Monitor organizational activities periodically to ensure compliance with governance regulations and industry-specific laws.
  • Utilize internal controls and auditing systems to monitor and report on compliance with regulated activities.
  • Conduct risk-based compliance testing to identify and address areas of noncompliance.
  • Update compliance processes in response to regulatory changes and support communication and training efforts.
  • Audit client SLA/BRD/Billing files in compliance with MSAs and company expectations.

Non-Essential Job Functions

Assist with special projects related to compliance, quality, and risk management as needed.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • General climate-controlled office environment with low noise level.
  • Prolonged sitting and repetitive motion due to extended computer use.
  • Occasional exposure to production and distribution areas, including noise, dust, and lift truck traffic.
  • Stress related to conflicting priorities and meeting schedule deadlines.
  • Ability to see, speak, hear, write, and understand English; bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
  • Sustained attention to detail and ability to read and analyze data and other written information.
  • Minimal physical exertion.
