Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete a Quality Control Inspection of residential homes under renovation and re-construction.
  • Ensure that renovations conform to local, state and federal building code requirements.
  • Re-inspect homes that fail initial inspections.
  • Apply a practical knowledge of construction techniques and specifications to the Quality Control Inspections.
  • Clearly and accurately document specific information pertaining to each residence under construction and load into various web-based portals.
  • Perform minor maintenance service across multiple trades.
  • Complete general assessments at homes and alert the property management team when immediate action is required.
  • Complete minor repairs in vacant and occupied homes.
  • Properly using and caring for company supplied tools and materials.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (Including Education):

  • 5+ years relevant experience in the building and construction field.
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency in MS Excel a must.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, and local, state and federal building codes.
  • Experience in the fields of Public Housing, Real Estate, Building Inspections, Code Enforcement or the equivalent education and experience.
  • Licensed Home Inspector certification.
  • Lead based paint certified (preferred).
  •  Mold certified (preferred).
  • Ability to multi-task, which requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and quality and have strong estimating skills.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a process improvement-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a professional manner.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Results-oriented individual with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to perform work that requires climbing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift and or move an excess of 50 lbs or more and properly operate company supplied tools.
