Facility Maintenance Technician chez None

This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and efficient work environment inside and outside the facility.

• Minor scheduled preventive maintenance machines and packaging equipment
• Clean department floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Properly operate company equipment (floor scrubber, forklift, etc.) to safely complete essential cleaning tasks
• Gather and empty trash as necessary
• Gather and crush empty boxes
• Ensure that all work areas are free of obstructions and debris 
• Must have high awareness and strong commitment to safety 
• Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Ensure proper disposal of used cleaning materials in accordance with proper waste-water requirements
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Be accountable and responsible for the proper use and care of company equipment
• lawn maintenance as required.
• All other duties, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Functional knowledge of electric pallet jack and/or forklift certified a plus
• Ability to operate scrubber

The job requires a person to work in conditions that include extreme heat and cold; a high noise level, which may, at times, require normal hearing protection in the form of ear plugs; heights; and dealing with chemicals. Hours may vary based on production and business needs, including working regular shifts as outlined and/or occasional weekends, or overtime, if needed

Team members are constantly standing, walking, carrying, pulling/pushing, bending, seeing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, hearing, as well as operating machinery. Team members will be lifting/maneuvering objects weighing 50 lbs. or less regularly. Cleaning materials and chemicals used regularly.
