Role:

At the direction of the branch manager, performs all management functions at assigned branch including supervision of all staff and operational activities of the branch. Develops and coaches personnel in branches to increase member loyalty, organizational and branch sales and expand member relationships.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

40%    In conjunction with the branch manager, recruit, hire, train, schedule, coach, motivate, evaluate, and discipline branch personnel. Develop all branch staff to effectively contribute to the overall success of the branch. Define appropriate guidelines of authority for branch staff. Administer performance evaluations and recommend appropriate personnel actions.

20%    Develop and work to achieve specific staff development, growth, profitability, sales and service goals. Monitor branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensure that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.

20%    Actively collaborates with staff and all departments to assure that members are being provided with exceptional experiences and/or service recovery and that their needs are being promptly met.

10%    Responsible for cash levels, balancing, and maintenance of the cash vault and branch Automated teller machines.

5%      Work with the branch manager and the Internal Auditor to conduct regular department audits and provide any reports deemed necessary. Monitor all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established credit union policies, procedures and regulations.

5%      Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience. Education: A high school education or GED.     

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

 

Other Skills: Must have in-depth understanding of and ability to interpret regulations affecting deposit programs within the credit union, including Regulations B, D, E, Z, CC, and DD. Strong supervisory, PC (technology), compliance, leadership, written and verbal communication skills.

 

Physical: Some lifting required (up to 30 pounds), continuous sitting, occasional standing and occasional walking. Finger dexterity while using computer. Occasional talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and continuous clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.

 

Work Environment: This job is an exempt position that requires flexibility in scheduling tasks and projects. The employee must independently monitor hours and judge the time needed to be spent on applicable duties. Employee must be capable of proactively adjusting to unpredictable schedules. As a direct representative of Rogue Credit Union, the employee must conduct and present themselves courteously and professionally.
