The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing a variety of task, routine maintenance and emergency maintenance to all Sierra Circuits Inc. equipment as directed by the maintenance Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintenance Supervisor
- Supervising maintenance technicians and contractors.
- Overseeing the maintenance staff and providing them with necessary training and support.
- Conduct periodic inspections on assigned equipment according to the Preventive Maintenance Schedule (ISO Form 11-01-01-B).
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with other departments.
- Prepare weekly Maintenance schedules and allocate work.
- Complete daily end-of-shift pass-down reports.
- Complete weekend preventative maintenance and project schedule.
- Ensure the maintenance team follows all company policies and procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance work on equipment and machinery to prevent breakdowns, costly repairs and the development of unsafe conditions.
- Promptly respond to and complete job requisitions submitted to maintenance.
- Supervising that proper tools and techniques are performed to complete required tasks in a professional and safe manner.
- Research, order, and prepare spare parts needed with the most cost-effective solution.
- Report any potential problems to the maintenance manager.
- Ensure daily housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Interact professionally and respectfully with all managers, co-workers, and vendors.
- May be required to operate a forklift.
- Ensuring that the shop and parts area are cleaned and organized at the end of each shift.
QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS- EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of management
- Self-motivator and a sense of ownership and urgency.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality & professionalism at all times.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
- Read, write and communicate in English.
- Basic arithmetic in reference to instructions where interpretations are required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Mechanical Skills
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to perform mechanical functions.
- Desire to work with a small, flexible team of technicians
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk throughout the day.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The ability to lift 50 lbs., open filing cabinets, and bend, stand, or climb on step ladders as necessary.
ENVIRONMENT:
- Manufacturing facility with exposure to electronics assembly equipment and materials.
- May require working in a controlled environment with specific temperature and humidity requirements.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform work.
