Senior Human Resources Generalist/HR Manager

We are currently looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist with strong HR experience in at least five (5) human resources disciplines, Compliance, Employee Relations, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits and Performance Management.

 

JOB SUMMARY 

The Senior Human Resources Generalist must possess outstanding analytical and communication skills. The successful candidate is expected to be a conceptual thinker with problem solving and decision-making skills.  Must have knowledge of employment laws, multi state full-cycle payroll processing, applying HR policies and company guidelines, compliance and the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

 

The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for executing parts of the human resources approach that supports the organizational business plan and strategy. This person will be responsible for overseeing certain department functions, including:

 

  • Full-Cycle Payroll (multi-state)
  • Benefits Management
  • Employee Relations
  • HR compliance with state and federal labor laws
  • Conflict Resolution, Incident Documentation, etc. 

 

DUTIES: 

  • Contribute to developing HR strategies that support the overall business goals of the company
  • Develop programs to enhance employee relations and offer employee support to each staff member 
  • Ensure that employment policies follow current laws and regulations 
  • Generate official internal documents regarding HR operations/employee relations
  • Investigate the complaints brought forward by employees
  • Manage the organization’s employee database and prepare reports
  • Keep current with the latest HR trends and best practice
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) 

 

SKILLS:

  • Excellent time management, conflict resolution, and competency with online administrative systems
  • Ability to display sensitivity, tact and responsiveness in various situations and maintain a high level of confidentiality 
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now HR Management software 
  • Ability to organize and analyze statistical data and prepare comprehensive reports, as required, to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees
  • Ethical business professional with strong organizational, leadership, and management skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to research and implement technology solutions
  • Experience with HRIS systems 
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Performs well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Possesses advanced computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HR software
  • Meticulous attention to detail

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or at least five (5) years of relevant experience in a Senior Human Resource capacity
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of Sr. HR generalist experience.
  • 1+ year of payroll experience through ADP workforce now.
