 Job Description  

 The Controls Installer II is responsible for the installation, configuration, and testing of building automation and control systems. This role requires advanced knowledge of electrical systems and control technologies and involves working independently or as part of a team to ensure successful implementation of HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems.

Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive) 

· Install raceways, cables, and wiring to meet local/national codes and customer requirements.

· Mount and terminate control equipment such as panels, sensors, and controllers.

· Perform routine installation and checkout of HVAC and building automation systems.

· Use test instruments to verify wiring and terminations.

· Complete paperwork (time sheets, expense reports, on-site documentation).

· Keep as-built drawings current and provide feedback to engineering on changes.

· Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site to ensure satisfaction.

· Follow company safety programs and policies.

· Ensure installations comply with codes, standards, and company procedures.

· Resolve job site conflicts regarding installation issues or escalate to management.

· Assist sales with electrical estimates for retrofit projects.

· Work with electrical subcontractors as needed.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

  Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities   

· Electrical apprenticeship or formal training in electrical installation techniques.

· Ability to read and interpret drawings and wiring diagrams.

· Knowledge of local electrical codes.

· Ability to work independently and sometimes flexible hours (including weekends).

- Preferred: 4+ years of experience in controls installation and journeyman-level electrical licensure.
