Job Summary

We’re looking for a strategic leader to drive growth through business development and M&A within our construction aggregates division. This role focuses on identifying and acquiring new assets, integrating them post-close, and divesting non-core operations. You’ll be involved in the full M&A lifecycle—from sourcing and due diligence to execution and integration—while working closely with Arcosa’s leadership team. • Drive deal flow through proactive sourcing, seller outreach, and management of the proprietary deal pipeline.
  • Analyze regional demand trends and competitive positioning to inform strategic growth and acquisition decisions.
  • Lead preliminary and full due diligence efforts—financial, legal, operational, and environmental—to assess fit and guide go/no-go decisions.
  • Develop detailed financial models and valuation analyses to support investment decisions and capital deployment.
  • Negotiate and execute transactions in collaboration with internal teams and external advisors (e.g., bankers, lawyers).
  • Direct cross-functional teams to ensure successful post-acquisition integration aligned with operational and cultural standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with property owners, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic priorities and support broader business development initiatives.
  • Conduct ad-hoc strategic analyses and create compelling presentation materials for executive leadership and the Board.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or active corporate M&A—preferably within the construction materials or aggregates industry.
  • Proven track record of leading successful acquisitions and integrations.
  • Strong financial acumen with expert-level proficiency in valuation, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with executive presence and the ability to engage senior leadership.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong work ethic, including flexibility to work extended hours when needed.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
