Job Goals:
Be able to identify, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and basic electrical issues. Perform maintenance work that will help to maintain the school district buildings, grounds, and equipment in the best working order possible. Advise on current and future needs of the district.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
HVAC Certification.
Have a good working knowledge of HVAC systems and basic electrical.
Ability to lift 75 pounds.
Ability to climb a ladder and work at heights sometimes greater than 12 feet.
Project a positive image and cooperative attitude to staff and students of the Camdenton R-3 School District.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports To: Director and/or Assistant Director of Buildings and Grounds.
Performance Responsibilities:
Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
Repairs HVAC Systems.
Repairs basic electrical issues.
Repairs basic plumbing issues.
Repairs and maintains boilers and chillers.
In addition, the HVAC Technician must be willing and able to assist with the following:
At the end of the heating season, drain, flush, and repair all boilers in preparation for inspections.
Service vent fans and change filters.
Maintain and repair freezers, coolers, and air conditioner units.
Snow and ice removal.
Mow and maintain campus grounds and athletic facilities.
Perform minor carpentry work, assemble new furniture and equipment as needed.
Prepares athletic fields for competitive events.
Special event set-ups and teardowns.
District wide delivery of cleaning supplies, copy paper, freight, and buddy packs.
Pick up mail from and deliver mail to the U.S. Post office.
Pick up mail from buildings and deliver to the Administration office.
Assist with morning and afternoon traffic direction.
Cleans classrooms and district buildings as needed.
Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.
Terms of Employment:
Work days, hours and salary as specified in the district’s classified hourly wage schedule. A work day is eight hours plus a thirty-minute unpaid lunch period, totalling 8.5 hours per day.
Salary Range: $20.45 - $20.80 per hour
