We are currently seeking a Performance Marketing Specialist to join our team.

The Performance Marketing Specialist contributes to driving revenue growth by planning, developing and executing digital marketing tactics across organic and paid channels. As a member of the Marketing Platforms team, this role champions best-in-class online experiences and identifies new marketing opportunities for FWCU to elevate FWCU’s brand visibility and increase lead generation through digital channels. The Specialist stays aware of industry trends and data driven insights and continuously optimizes FWCU’s online discoverability and digital voice share.

Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day

  1. Digital Marketing Planning & Performance: Supports execution and optimization of digital media campaigns and other marketing tactics to drive growth, build brand equity, and fully realized member relationships. Executes cross-channel campaigns across key paid and organic platforms, including PPC, programmatic, search (SEO and SEM), affiliate marketing and social advertising as well as influencer marketing. Develops optimized content aligned with SEO/GEO best practices to enhance discoverability and brand voice. Analyzes and identifies most valuable keywords and develops link building strategies. Identifies opportunities that enhance content discoverability and AI visibility, improve user journeys, and increase overall conversion rates.  Works closely with other members of the Marketing team to manage our Google and other local directory listings, ensuring that each location is fully optimized to support SEO efforts. 
  2. Agency Relationships: Manages the day-to-day with the digital agency, ensuring that our SEM tactics, display ads, social media advertising, and our retargeting plans are optimal for successfully driving conversion rates and meeting campaign goals. Oversees campaign details capture (via CDS) and timely delivery to media agencies. Aligns agency deliverables with First West’s strategy to maximize relevance in trade areas.  Collaborates with agency partners to test new acquisition channels, pilot innovative campaign formats and evaluate performance for future scaling. Provides campaign success standards, tracking, and performance metrics (CTR, ROAS, etc.). 
  3. Performance and Insights Reporting: Uses advanced analytics and optimization techniques to monitor and guide campaigns to reach and connect with the desired audience. Increases qualified marketing leads and introduces new tactics to improve campaign effectiveness and drive higher conversion rates. Focuses on driving strong ROI and efficient CPA (cost per acquisition). Prepares reports using website analytics and other sources of data to communicate the marketing performance and results to the broader marketing and product teams. Suggests solutions and actions plans to measurably improve online content and website performance. Explores chatbot platform data to identify gaps in digital user journeys and collaborates with internal teams on changes.
  4. Additional Responsibilities: Works closely with the Marketing Strategies team, and other internal stakeholders to create value added programs that drive our digital marketing strategy and overall First West strategy. Executes social media testing and analyzes performance data to optimize plans and deliver actionable insights. Ensures compliance with audit, risk, and internal policy requirements.  Completes website and chatbot content updates (non-UX impacting) to support team.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Diploma in Marketing or Business Administration is required, degree in Marketing, Business Administration is preferred, or a combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience
    • Digital and performance marketing role with demonstrated success driving results and think strategically
    • Preferably in a Financial Services industry
  • Proven digital marketing skills and understanding of platforms, channels, digital media landscape and new technology concepts
  • Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement in performance and ROI uplift across all digital channels and metrics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative organization
  • Effective planning and organizational skills with the ability to successfully multitask
  • Effective organizational, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Keen eye for continually improving results with a focus on driving impact
  • A natural curiosity and exuberant energy befitting of our dynamic marketing team
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional service in a high paced, multi-demand environment
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to leverage data, metrics, analytics and consumer behavior trends to drive actionable insights and recommendations
  • Working knowledge of privacy regulations across digital channels
  • Strong technical marketing skills including digital marketing strategy, integrated marketing
  • Strong familiarity in digital analytics and custom reporting through Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager
  • Experience in SEO and content optimization practices
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics an asset
  • Experience in an Agile environment an asset
  • Experience with social media marketing platforms and management software
  • Aptitude with technology and the ability to rapidly acquire technical proficiency in the administration of new and/or changing software tools
  • Strong data and research skills
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
