What is the opportunity?
As the Director, Head of Corporate Treasury Asia, you will be responsible for leading Corporate Treasury's work across multiple locations and business lines. You will be playing a leading role in the wider team through collaboration with colleagues in other offices, and local Senior Management.
What will you do?
- Lead Corporate Treasury Activity for all local platforms (CM & WM).
- To have significant skills and experience in most areas of Corporate Treasury Expertise (Capital, Liquidity, SIRR, Recovery and Resolution, Balance Sheet, Funding, Subsidiary Banking, FTP).
- To be able to manage complex cross functional projects with minimal support, including managing and delegating staff to provide oversight and updates to senior management.
- Lead elements of Corporate Treasury's relationship with local regulators and central banks as required.
- Strong stakeholder management with Finance, Risk Management, Tax, Legal and other key functions.
- Identify opportunities to generate revenue by reducing inefficiencies in the balance sheet.
- Identify and promote cross-training and upskill members of the wider team, including ensuring appropriate ongoing training and professional development for self and direct reports, including identifying career opportunities.
- Represent Corporate Treasury in local governance forums (ALCO, LCT, Risk Committee, Steering Committees).
- To manage the region's liquidity measurement function for internal and regulatory reporting.
- To develop and improve regional understanding of liquidity risk profile and ensure analysis aligns to business needs.
- Direct and oversee the development of new liquidity risk models and identify opportunity for improvements, enhancements and new liquidity reports / tools.
- To write and implement policies, to prepare ALCO papers and LCT papers as required.
- Formulate and present medium-term strategy and plans for regional function.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Degree educated
- 10+ years experience on treasury related matters
- Experience presenting to senior management and committees
- Knowledge of products in regional business
- Understanding of local regulatory requirements
- Understanding of financial controls reconciliations and attestations
- Demonstrated analytical ability
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Tableau
- Experience of leading initiatives with external stakeholders
