About the Role:
We’re seeking a Junior Buyer to support procurement activities across engineering and operations. This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to grow their experience in supply chain management, sourcing, and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a desire to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the procurement of materials, components, equipment, and services
- Support the issuance of RFQs and RFPs; gather and compare supplier quotes
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support purchasing needs
- Help maintain purchase orders and records in procurement systems
- Coordinate with suppliers to track orders, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery
- Learn and apply procurement compliance requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS, ITAR)
- Participate in vendor performance tracking and help address basic delivery or quality concerns
- Research and help identify new suppliers or sourcing opportunities
- Contribute to cost tracking, reporting, and improvement initiatives
- Provide general administrative support to the procurement and supply chain teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain preferred
- Basic understanding of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to learn government procurement standards (FAR/DFARS, ITAR)
- U.S. Citizen (required due to federal contracting requirements)
Pay Range:
$70,000- $90,000 USD
