Position Summary

Responsible for providing exemplary guest service by selling change, paying jackpots and providing technical assistance to guests regarding slot operations.  

Essential Functions

  • Provides information and technical assistance to guests regarding machine operations. 
  • Circulates through assigned area selling change to guests.
  • Informs guests of benefits for using Chinook Winds Winners Circle Players Cards.
  • Circulates through assigned area offering Winner’s Circle cards for new enrollments, creates new accounts, and provides assistance with club accounts for guests at the machine level.
  • Maintains assigned bank to ensure accurate balances & transactions.
  • Safeguards entrusted monies, keys, and properties.
  • Monitors lights indicating guest requests for change and service.
  • Replenishes ticket paper. 
  • Reports guest disputes to Slots Supervisor.
  • Assists guests with machine malfunctions such as currency & paper jams. 
  • Assists with or completes machine preventative maintenance as assigned.
  • Signs and completes jackpot, hand pay tickets, and payouts, updates jackpot records, and redeems vouchers for guests as requested
  • Monitors slots play & notifies supervisor of complaints or concerns.
  • Maintains general appearance of work area.
  • Attend all Slot Department meetings and/or training sessions; pertinent training seminars and conferences as required. 
  • Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services. 
  • Assist Slots Supervisor with other duties when required. 
  • Inform Slot Manager and Slot Shift Supervisor of any pertinent information. 
  • Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services.
  • Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with all Chinook Winds Policies and Procedures and guest service standards.
  • Adheres to the confidentiality policy of Chinook Winds. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

One year of customer service and cash handling experience preferred.

Certificates & Licenses

Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.

Work will take place in a busy gaming environment with multiple distractions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The environment is subject to smoke and the associated affects.

 

Working Conditions

Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
