We are looking for a highly motivated and seasoned Business Development Leader with expertise in Disability Insurance and/or Long-Term Care Insurance. Davies Life & Health (DLH) is an industry leader in the third-party administration of disability and long-term care (LTC) insurance products. We deliver turnkey administrative services covering the full product lifecycle, including new business administration, ongoing policyholder services, claims management, compliance and litigation support, and client accounting and actuarial services (including LTC rate change support).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow DLH’s disability and LTC administration, audit, and consulting services
- Leverage an existing network of industry contacts to generate new business opportunities and strengthen existing relationships
- Partner with internal teams to develop proposals, presentations, and solutions tailored to client needs
- Lead relationship management with key accounts, serving as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects
- Stay current with market trends, competitive activity, and regulatory changes affecting disability and LTC products
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to shape DLH’s strategic growth priorities
- Represent DLH at industry conferences, forums, and networking events
- Contribute to the development of pricing, compensation structures, and other business models to support growth

Skills, knowledge & expertise
- Extensive experience in business development, sales, or account management within the insurance industry, specifically in Disability Insurance and/or Long-Term Care Insurance
- In-depth knowledge of product structures, policyholder services, claims, and administrative processes
- Proven track record of generating new business opportunities and closing deals in the insurance sector
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with C-level and senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a collaborative leadership environment
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and internal collaboration
