Job Overview:

Ebenezer is looking for a Resident Activities & Services Director at our 7500 York Cooperative in Edina, MN! The position involves coordinating and working with the resident leaders and volunteers in the Resident Activities Committee (RAC) to provide support, counsel, leadership, and structure to their tasks and events, and to support and participate in the initiatives of the Standing Committees, Board of Directors, and Administrative team to enhance the quality of life for cooperative members. Additionally, this position supervises and provides guidance to the Resident Services Coordinator.

 

This director schedule includes;

  • 80 hours every two weeks
  • Full time, Day shift
  • No weekends!

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a staff advisor to the Resident Activities Committee (RAC) and the various sub-committees:
  • Acts as resource to the committees by providing information about programs/resources available within the community.
  • Organizes monthly RAC meetings with RAC chair(s) by helping to prepare agendas and co-leading meetings (as needed).
  • Attends sub-committee meetings each month and follows up on information and requests.
  • Works to strengthen and support committee leadership through discussions, meetings and coaching.
  • Coordinates development of, and keeps up-to-date records of the RAC budget.
  • Facilitates recruitment of resident volunteers for all committees; trains and coordinates RAC Committees, including annual resident leadership training.
  • Documents the monthly RAC meeting information, and prepares and distributes minutes, including to the Cooperative Board. Reviews the sub-committee meeting minutes at meetings and/or as needed.
  • Organizes and creates publicity for resident activities:
  • Produces monthly calendar and Coming Events flyer, informational flyers, posters, forms, and other means of promotional materials incorporating information received from committees, staff, and Cooperative Board.
  • Produces the monthly resident newsletter, incorporating content provided by the Newsletter Committee. Works with the editor of the newsletter on layout, content, and editing. Manages printing, and distribution.
  • Provides electronic versions of monthly promotional documents for posting on the resident portal on 7500 York website.
  • Supervises and oversees the Resident Services Coordinator position:
  • Manages the day-to-day workflow of the Resident Services Coordinator position.
  • Provides ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to the Resident Services Coordinator. Provides effective and timely corrective action as needed.
  • Conducts annual performance reviews.


Required Qualifications:

  • One to Three Years of previous experience
  • Ability to use technology in the form of computers, hand held devices, cell phone, fax machines, DVD, CD players, etc.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to respond to emergency situations and manage private resident issues with dignity and respect.
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently, make program and scheduling decisions, and manage resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S./B.A.
  • Working knowledge of graphics software, including Photoshop.
Qualifications:

$23.61-$33.34 Hourly
