The Specialist/Division Compliance position supports the Division/Districts in maintaining compliance with Federal and State pipeline safety regulations, including policies and standards established internally. This position is responsible for helping to ensure pipeline safety in the Division/Districts by providing oversight of compliance related activities, communicating best practices to ensure consistency and providing support during internal and state commission pipeline safety audits. This position will assist in performing internal reviews, monitoring operations and maintenance activities, monitoring the status of action plans, and working with Corporate Staff to review and incorporate new directives from state and federal oversight agencies.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in maintaining the Company’s compliance with State and Federal pipelines safety codes as well as internal operations, maintenance, construction and customer service standards, policies and practices
- Coordinate with all appropriate Division/District Management and Corporate Staff personnel to respond, when necessary, to the governing agencies
- Assist with the coordination and preparation of correspondence to Federal and State agencies for interpretations and waivers from existing code requirements when particular conditions and situations warrant a variance from the usual conditions
- Conduct internal compliance audits and reviews of operations, maintenance, construction, technical services, engineering and code related activities at the Division/District level
- Provide Division/District representation during external Federal and State commission audits
- Draft written correspondence to Federal and State pipeline agencies as it applies to compliance issues, including data requests, audit results, Company procedures, and waivers
- Assist in the development and/or revision of Company standards, policies and procedures as they relate to the Federal and State pipeline safety regulations or other code related activities
- Serve as an information source for compliance questions, code interpretations and data compilation for code related activities, such as spreadsheets and graphs
- Tracking and monitoring all pipeline safety compliance activities in the Division/Districts
- Perform operations system and database comparisons, analyze results, implementing necessary changes and write/update process improvements to ensure compliance between databases
- Update and/or create process improvements to ensure the integrity of the data being tracked
- Assist with preparing for and facilitating both internal and external code compliance audits
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
QUALIFICATIONS
There are clear precedents and practices which the incumbent uses to determine how this job is performed. This position requires five to seven years of relevant industry work experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
SALARY DETAILS
$82,926.00 - $120,278.00
