We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Industrial Planner to join our team in a high-performance valve maintenance and repair facility. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient scheduling, coordination, and execution of repair and maintenance projects for a wide range of industrial valves used in oil & gas, chemical, power generation, and other heavy industries. The Industrial Planner will serve as the bridge between customer requirements, shop floor operations, and supply chain activities—driving operational excellence through effective planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize work schedules for valve inspection, repair, testing, and certification projects
  • Review work orders and assess material, tooling, and labor requirements
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of parts and consumables
  • Monitor workflow and adjust schedules to meet customer delivery dates and shop capacity
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and quality teams to resolve technical or resource constraints
  • Track job progress, update stakeholders, and generate daily/weekly planning reports
  • Analyze backlog, forecast resource needs, and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory guidelines
  • Support customer service and sales teams with lead-time estimates and capacity planning insights

Skills you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
  • 3+years of planning/scheduling experience in industrial maintenance, valve services, rotating equipment, or similar heavy industry
  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and scheduling tools
  • Understanding of valve components, repair processes, and maintenance best practices is a strong plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tool
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with shop floor, procurement, and operations

Here’s what will set you apart:

  • 5+ years of specific experience in valve repair, rotating equipment, or oil & gas maintenance planning
  • Deep technical knowledge of valve types, repair standards (API, ASME), and testing procedures
  • Proven ability to forecast demand, analyze backlog trends, and optimize resource utilization beyond just scheduling
