At Custom Foods, we employ Great Dough Heroes to create our SQF-certified, industry-leading, frozen dough. We are currently seeking an additional Production Supervisor on our second shift (approximately 3pm - 2am) to accommodate increased business orders. This role will be responsible for motivating team members to meet a production goal by overseeing the physical operation of production, receiving, shipping, and sanitation. This is a key role in producing safe products for our customers' consumption in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with distribution of production schedule
  • Achieve daily output to meet demands of production schedule
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, avoiding shortage
  • Train employees on safety measures and keep safety culture prominent during all operations
  • Ensure product quality standards throughout mixing, weight checks, temperature checks, production, and packaging
  • Responsible for food safety, food quality, and food defense
  • Monitor productivity of all employees
  • Be a team player and jump in as necessary

Requirements:

  • Experience leading teams to successful goals, manufacturing or production experience preferred
  • Ability to motivate others to achieve a goal
  • Ability to coach and correct others' performance
  • Ability to lift up to (40) forty pounds occasionally
  • Standing, walking, reaching, bending
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Able to learn/properly use pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Temperatures below freezing occasionally - proper clothing provided
  • Ability to work second shift (approximately 3pm - 2am) consistently
  • 4 nights a week, no Sundays
  • Bilingual Spanish and English preferred, not required
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong knowledge of materials handling, assembly, and fabrication processes
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Basic math skills for calculating measurements, quantities, and production metrics
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
