Job Summary
This position is an onsite role, requiring the Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work at various locations and events within Fresco County. Core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekend hours may be required.
The Mobile HeaL Nurse Practitioner is the lead for patient evaluations and treatment decisions and acts as the licensed provider on site, monitoring clinical tasks performed by lower-level unlicensed clinical staff.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $1135.11 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- Have a reliable source of transportation
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule and location
Preferred Qualifications
- Triage skills
- Experience performing complex physical assessments
- Related NP experience in both adult and pediatric populations
- Experience working in remote or low resource practice environments
- Desire to work with underserved populations, particularly unsheltered or migrant populations
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Problem solving ability
- Ability to work well with other healthcare providers and staff
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
License/Certification
- California Registered Nurse (RN) License without restriction
- California Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) without restriction
- California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number including Schedule II furnishing privileges
- NP national board certification from an accepted certifying agency aligned with the patient population and clinical role
- Hybrid Adult and Pediatric Outpatient (Family, Primary, or Specialty Care) (FNP-C, FNP-BC; or dual adult (A-GNP-C, ANP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC) AND pediatric (CPNP-PC, PPCNP-BC, CPNP-AC) certification.
- California Driver License (if required for position)
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Additional required AHA certifications: PALS
- Additional required certifications (such as ENLS): none
UCSF Medical Center and Campus require certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
